What is HTML?

HTML is a computer language devised to allow website creation. These websites can then be viewed by anyone else connected to the Internet. It is relatively easy to learn, with the basics being accessible to most people in one sitting; and quite powerful in what it allows you to create. It is constantly undergoing revision and evolution to meet the demands and requirements of the growing Internet audience under the direction of the » W3C, the organisation charged with designing and maintaining the language.

Ive thought about trying to do something like that too. I dont know about courses, but I bought the Dummys Guide to Web Design and its really useful.  It starts at the basics and works up to actual HTML scripts etc.  Also has a disc with a few web design software programs.  Maybe that would help you too?  Good luck

I kind of like the first one. The design looks pretty nice, friendly and simple.
You could use though more pictures, but nevertheless, I think it has personality
The second one is not working.

Ive got moderate knowledge of HTML etc.

But there is something that boggles my mind,

Some websites like this one, for example

the pictures at the top for menu, must be different pics,  how do the guys make the pictures look like one whole pictures.

Do they create the whole picture and snip everything up.

Hope you guys understand my question.
